A while back I had posted a short comment on the development of multi-touch screens and the possible design of interactive table surfaces in the home. Today, Microsoft has announced the first commercial coffee table using this technology.

[...] When I was working as an assistant director for a kids cartoon series back in 2000 I remember my director being a fanatic for screen designs. Not only did he make sure that every episode was filled with new designs, he also spent a good part of his research time on the Web surfing for fresh ideas. I’m sure he must have come across Mark Coleran’s work and must have been pleasantly surprised too.
